Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is continuously campaigning for tree plantation in the state. CM Shivraj himself does tree plantation daily. Along with this, they also give a message to protect the environment. Taking this sequence forward, the Forest Minister has made a big announcement for the protection of Narmada river. Forest Minister Dr. Kunwar Vijay Shah has said that one crore 32 lakh saplings will be planted in 18 thousand 406 hectare area with the help of local communities in Narmada watershed area. Plantation of plants of local forest species of these areas will be done on priority basis.

Forest Minister Dr. Shah informed that in order to keep the stream of Narmada river, the life-line of the state, uninterrupted and clean, with the aim of restoring the forest areas located in the catchment area of ​​river Narmada, this year large-scale plantation will be done. decision has been taken.

World Environment Day (June 5) will be celebrated as Sankalp Diwas

This year World Environment Day will be celebrated on June 5 as Tree Plantation Resolution Day in the catchment area of ​​river Narmada. Guidelines have been issued by the Forest Department in this regard. In order to increase awareness about forests, active cooperation of local citizens, voluntary organizations, public representatives and government departments will be taken by the regional units.

Planting preparations complete

Preparations for plantation have been completed in the catchment areas of river Narmada. This year, instructions have been given to register the plantation being done on forest lands during the rainy season on “Plantation Monitoring System”.
