50 lakh one thousand 772 tap connections given in ‘Jal Jeevan Mission’ in Madhya Pradesh: CM Shivraj

In order to solve the water problem in Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan received information about the operation of various works under Jal Jeevan Mission in Madhya Pradesh in a review meeting at his residence. During this it was told that more than fifty lakh tap connections have been made in the state under the mission. At present their number has increased to 50 lakh one thousand 772. Two years ago, the progress in the mission was 17 lakh 50 thousand tap connections in the state, which has increased to more than 50 lakh in a span of just two years. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan expressed happiness on this achievement and congratulated the Jal Jeevan Mission and the Department of Public Health Engineering, Madhya Pradesh. According to the resolution of the Prime Minister, the works of Jal Jeevan Mission have been continuously implemented in the state in the last two years. Madhya Pradesh is ahead in this field than many other states.
Madhya Pradesh will fulfill Prime Minister’s resolve
Praising the work of Jal Jeevan Mission, CM Shivraj said that Madhya Pradesh is active in fulfilling the resolve of the Prime Minister. Madhya Pradesh will continue to be dynamic. Chief Minister Chouhan said that the efforts of the mission will go on continuously for providing drinking water from door to door. The mission will reach those places where at present the work of fetching water has to be done away from the housing. Additional Chief Secretary Public Health Engineering Shri Malay Srivastava and Principal Secretary Urban Development and Housing Shri Manish Singh also fed sweets to Chief Minister Chouhan.
