On November 4, a 6-year-old boy named Kavi Devanathan fell ill and his father Maheshwaran took him for treatment to a clinic run by his local doctor, Katherine. To reduce the child’s high fever, the doctor gave him a paracetamol injection on Maheshwaran’s request. But while returning home, the boy fainted and the boy’s leg started to swell and he was in a lot of pain.

Maheshwaran and his family then took him to the Rajapalayam Government Hospital, where he was declared brought dead.
