Decided to drop BBA and become a chaiwala
Born in Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, Sanjit Konda House was studying Business Administration (BBA) from a leading Australian university and had applied for internships but suddenly, 22-year-old Sanjit decided to become a “chaiwala” outside his corporate job. Because he liked being called a chaiwala.
Sanjeev’s tea people went crazy
In the Australian city of Melbourne where coffee is popular, Sanjeet dreamed of inculcating his tea habit and today has tea every morning and evening at his stall located on Elizabeth Street in Melbourne’s busy CBD (Central Business District) area. There is a crowd of people enjoying hot samosas with sips.
The company has become one million dollars in a year
At the dropout chaiwala center, Australians of Indian origin and some locals are seen holding steaming cups of tea in their hands. Sanjeet, who chose tea after dropping his BBA degree, has turned into a million (Australian) dollar company in just one year at such a young age i.e. about five and a half crore rupees. He now owns a million dollar firm in Australia

Tea used to fascinate me since childhood
Sanjeet’s interview is on linkedin. In which he told that I had come here to study graduation in Business Administration at La Trobe University but I failed to complete my course. I dropped out of college and then I wanted to start my own start-up Sanjeev said “I was fascinated by tea since childhood and then decided to become a dropout chaiwala.

People like Bombay Cutting Tea at their stall
Sanjit Konda told that in order for the people to get the test of India’s tea, they get tea leaves from India itself. He told that ‘Bombay Cutting’ is a big hit among Indians and Australian Indians love ‘masala chai’ and ‘pakodas’. He told that he is going to open his second outlet in Melbourne! He said that to attract new customers, we have launched our Fusion Green Tea and Chappuccino.
Do dropout students work here?
Sanjeet told that he has hired the students who are working part time. Those who want to work part time for earning. Do you give preference to dropout students, he replied laughingly, Sanjeev said, “At Dropout Chaiwala, we look for passion and hard work, not degrees, while employing people.
