Swapna Suresh, the main accused in Kerala’s gold smuggling case, has made serious allegations against Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. After some of his revelations, there is an uproar in the politics of Kerala. Actually, Swapna Suresh has spoken of being related to CM Pinarayi Vijayan’s gold smuggling case. On Tuesday, Swapna had recorded a confidential statement before the court, demanding her security from the court.
Swapna later told the media that CM Pinarayi Vijayan, his wife Kamala, his daughter Veena, former IT secretary M Sivashankar, former minister KT Jalil, former private secretary to CM CM Ravindran, former principal secretary to CM Nalini Netto Including many VIP people are associated with this smuggling case. Swapna has claimed that when Kerala CM Vijayan went to Dubai in the year 2016, he also smuggled currency there.
Swapna told the media that in 2016, Shivshankar, the former Principal Secretary to the CM, had contacted me, at that time the CM was in Dubai and I used to work as a secretary in the UAE Consulate in Thiruvananthapuram. He told me that the CM forgot to carry a bag with him and asked me to send it to Dubai immediately. The bag was later taken to Dubai by a diplomat at the consulate. There was currency in that bag. Swapna has alleged that former Principal Secretary to CM M Shivshankar had an important role in smuggling currency. Swapna declined to divulge further details. He said that the matter is still in the court.
After the revelations of Swapna, there was a political uproar
After the disclosure of Swapna, the reaction of CM P Vijayan has also come. He has vehemently denied the allegations against him. He has called the allegations baseless and politically motivated. The CM said that Swapna’s allegations are part of the political agenda.
Former Kerala minister and CPIM leader KT Jaleel has filed a complaint against the allegations made by Swapna Suresh. KT Jalil says that Swapna Suresh and former MLA PC George and BJP have conspired.
