Agneepath scheme: Sanjay Singh wrote a letter to PM Modi, said this

New Delhi: The Agneepath scheme is being opposed in different parts of the country. The students are demanding to withdraw this scheme by taking to the road. However, the politics on this plan is also sharp. Aam Aadmi Party is also against this plan. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Sanjay Singh on Wednesday wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi urging him to “immediately” withdraw the Agneepath Army Recruitment Scheme.

Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh claimed that the country will have to go through a ‘terrible situation’ if this scheme is implemented. Sanjay Singh, in the letter, enumerated several shortcomings of the scheme, saying that its implementation would “ruin” the basic infrastructure and capability of the army as soldiers would be given only six months of training after they are recruited under the scheme.

MP Sanjay Singh said that those recruited under the scheme will be taken in the army for a short period and later they will not even get pension and the youths who leave the army after four years will be disappointed due to lack of jobs. He said that such youth can work against the country and society by becoming anti-national and criminal elements.
