Several organizations have called for ‘Bharat Bandh’ on Monday against the Agneepath scheme. In view of the violent incidents during the bandh called in Bihar two days ago, the security agencies of the country and the police of the states are fully prepared. With the announcement of Bharat Bandh, central security agencies have issued an alert to the police of all states and union territories that violent incidents can happen during the bandh. After this alert, elaborate security arrangements have been made in all the states.
Force deployed outside coaching institutes in Punjab
The capital Delhi, UP, Bihar, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh are expected to see more impact of Bharat Bandh. The police of these states have strengthened the security system regarding the bandh. Security has been beefed up around all major military coaching institutes in Punjab. At the same time, many arrangements have been made in Haryana regarding the Bharat Bandh. Strict law and order arrangements have been made at various police posts in Faridabad, adjoining Palwal.
Schools will remain closed in Jharkhand
Apart from Punjab and Haryana, the government in Jharkhand has decided to keep all schools closed on Monday. State education officials said that in view of the way violence took place in Bihar during the bandh, it has been decided to keep all the schools in Jharkhand closed on Monday in view of the Bharat Bandh. Education Department Secretary Rajesh Sharma said that as a precaution, we have taken this decision.
Section 144 imposed in Noida
Section 144 has been imposed in Gautam Budh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh due to the Bharat Bandh called against the Agneepath scheme. Noida Police says that any attempt to disturb law and order will be dealt with strictly. More than 200 people have been arrested in connection with the protest at Yamuna Expressway in Greater Noida on Friday.
Kerala Police has also strengthened its preparations regarding Bharat Bandh. Kerala Police has said that all their jawans will be on duty on June 20, no one has been given leave. During this, if anyone tries to spread any kind of violence, he will be arrested. Chhattisgarh government has also given a similar order.
