According to the Ministry of Railways, 181 Mail Express trains have been canceled in view of the opposition to the Agneepath scheme. Apart from this, 348 passenger trains were also canceled. In such a situation, the total number of canceled trains is 529. While four Mail Express and 6 Passenger trains were partially cancelled. According to the railways, the route of any train has not been changed due to the demonstration.
Platform ticket ban
On the other hand, opposition to this scheme has started in Tamil Nadu as well. In view of this, the Chennai Railway Division took a big decision. According to railway officials, platform tickets will not be given at any station in Chennai Division. This decision has been taken in view of the Bharat Bandh, which is temporary. Platform tickets will be resumed as soon as the situation becomes normal.
