By issuing a statement from Air India, the news of shortage of crew members in the aircraft has been rejected, the company said that we are recruiting pilots.
Air India Crew Shortage:
Air India has clarified the manner in which the news of cabin crew shortage has come to the fore. Issuing a statement from the company, it has been said that some minor problems have come to light regarding the operation of some aircraft, these problems have been removed immediately. But the rumor being spread that there is a shortage of crew members in the aircraft is completely baseless news. Air India spokesperson said that on the contrary, we have been recruiting in Air India for the last few months to meet the increasing demand of domestic passengers and international passengers. However, we apologize for the inconvenience caused to the passengers due to the sporadic problems in the operation of the flights.
In fact, there were reports that Air India is preparing to hire expatriate pilots for Boeing 777 as the airline is facing pilot shortage. According to sources, Air India was feeling the shortage of pilots to increase the international service. After which the news came out that Air India is preparing to bring 100 pilots for the big Boeing 777. Different agencies were contacted by the company which provide migrant pilots. It is worth noting that Air India, which was continuously running in losses, was sold by the Government of India to the Tata Group. Air India was taken over by Tata Group in January 2022 and thereafter the recruitment of pilots was stopped to reduce costs.
