Amaravati, December 9: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and YSR Congress Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy held a high-level meeting with senior party leaders at his camp office at Tadepalli here. The meeting was attended by observers, district presidents and regional coordinators from all assembly constituencies, where the chief minister directed the leaders on the way forward in the context of the upcoming general elections. He said that in one of the major decisions taken in the meeting, it is necessary to work from the grassroots level to strengthen the party at the cluster level.
YSRCP leaders were ordered to recruit 5,20,000 volunteers in all 175 constituencies. He said that two village-level volunteers should be appointed for each cluster and three conveners should be appointed in each secretariat who would work for the party. He said that there is a need to appoint 40,000 coordinators for this purpose and this should be done on a war footing. The Chief Minister directed that for this every 50 families should be identified as a cluster. He said that senior leaders should be the eyes and ears of the party and should work in tandem with each other.
