Andhra Pradesh: APSRTC to operate special services for pilgrims

Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) Managing Director Dwaraka Tirumala Rao said that the RTC is considering introducing special packages and special services for pilgrimage centres, famous temples and other tourist places. He said that RTC is already operating services to various tourist and famous pilgrimage centers during the festive season. Now RTC has decided to expand its services and introduce special packages.
Dwaraka Tirumala Rao said that, RTC is running special services at various places during the coming Dussehra, Kartik month, Shivaratri and other festivals. He said that RTC is in discussion with the tourism department to provide accommodation and stay facilities for RTC bus passengers traveling with special packages.
He said that depending on the demand of bus passengers, RTC would operate special services from different places in the state. He said that RTC has introduced C grade darshan ticket for passengers traveling between Tirupati and Tirumala. He said that sparsh darshan ticket would be started for the passengers going to Srisailam temple. He said that bus passengers from different parts of the state and country visit historical and famous temples and pilgrimage centers like Tirumala Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple, Tiruchanuru Padmavati Ammavaru Temple, Kanipakam Vinayaka Temple, Shiva temples at Kalahasti, Sri Kanaka Durga Temple at Vijayawada and Annavaram .
