A few years back a woman was badly injured by a man attacking her neck. Due to which the voice of the woman had gone. But the example of humanity of a YSRCP MLA has been presented. The MLA got the woman treated at his own expense. To whom the voice of the woman has come back. The woman is completely fine now.
Makina Sai Ishwari Priyanka, a 21-year-old volunteer of the Secretariat, living in Thompson Street near the Conveyor Belt area in the Old Town area, was attacked by a deranged man, Srikant. Who used to follow her in one sided love. When she refused, he slit her throat with a sharp weapon. Due to which she was badly injured.
The life of the woman injured in this incident was saved but she lost her voice. After learning about the incident through Kanaka Mahalakshmi Temple, YSRCP’s Visakha South MLA Vasupalli Ganesh Kumar, Chairperson Kolli Simhachalam approached the Collector for treatment of the woman.
The MLA told that, I requested the collector and treatment was provided under the Arogya Shree scheme at a corporate hospital in Ram Nagar. Where the doctors saved the woman’s life, but her throat was seriously damaged. The MLA contacted Dr. Hari Krishna, Section Officer, Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, and made arrangements for travel expenses and medical treatment in Mumbai.

MLA Ganesh Kumar helped the woman with Rs one lakh from his own funds and also arranged Rs one lakh for the travel fare. Priyanka’s voice came back after four surgeries.
