New Delhi: The Delhi government will provide Rs one crore ex-gratia to the families of eight police and armed forces personnel who lost their lives in the line of duty. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal made this announcement on Wednesday. Kejriwal said that the government is with the families of those who lost their lives in the line of duty. Kejriwal told reporters through video conferencing on Wednesday, ‘Earlier the system in our country was very bad. There was no one to look after the families of the martyrs. Ever since our government came, we have decided that we will give an amount of one crore rupees each to their families. In the last seven-eight years, we have helped and met many such families. Today we are announcing the names of those eight martyrs, whose families will be given one crore rupees each.

Aam Aadmi Party supremo Arvind Kejriwal tweeted, ‘Our 8 bravehearts from various departments like Army, Police, Fire Department and Home Guards lost their lives while serving the public. Salute to his martyrdom. We are giving one crore honorarium each to the families of all those martyrs. These martyred personnel include policemen, home guards, firemen, civil defense volunteers and military personnel.

Arvind Kejriwal first wished the people a happy Republic Day in his video conference. He then discussed the contribution of army personnel, policemen, home guards, and civil defense volunteers. He told the names of those eight martyrs to whom the government is going to give one crore help each.
