New Delhi: By next year, the number of beds available for patients in Delhi government hospitals will increase by more than 10 thousand. Delhi government is getting 11 new hospitals constructed. Of these, 3237 beds will be arranged in four hospitals and 6838 ICU beds in seven hospitals.

On Monday, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister and Public Works Department Minister Manish Sisodia held a review meeting with the officials of PWD and Health Department to review the progress of construction works. In the meeting, he directed to complete the construction works of seven new semi-permanent hospitals being built at Siraspur, Jwalapuri, Madipur, Hastasal (Vikaspuri) as well as seven new semi-permanent hospitals with a capacity of 6838 ICU beds. He said that their work should be completed soon with quality. He said that the aim of the Kejriwal government is to provide better health facilities to all its citizens.

Officials informed that the construction work of most of the hospitals will be completed by the end of this year. At the same time, some hospitals will be ready by the middle of 2023. Sisodia said that these 11 hospitals include 4 hospitals with a capacity of 3237 beds and seven semi-permanent ICU hospitals with a capacity of 6838 ICU beds.

Every day thousands of people come to Delhi’s government hospitals for treatment. Lakhs of patients will benefit from increasing the number of beds. The Deputy Chief Minister said that the health infrastructure of Delhi is being made world class.

Siraspur will have 1164 beds, Jwalapuri, Madipur and Hastasal (Vikaspuri) will have 691 beds each. Work in Jwalapuri and Madipur may be completed by March 2023, in Hastasal by the last month of 2023. 1430 beds in Shalimar Bagh, 458 beds in Kirari, 527 beds in Sultanpuri, 1912 beds in GTB complex, 610 beds in Chacha Nehru Bal Chikitsalaya in Geeta Colony, 336 beds in Sarita Vihar, 1565 beds in Raghuveer Nagar. being done. It will be ready soon.

12 new Mohalla Clinics set up in different areas of Delhi will soon be dedicated to the public. Apart from this, the construction work of 52 Mohalla Clinics is going on in full swing. Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said that these clinics should be started at the earliest so that the general public can avail health facilities here. More than 70 thousand people are getting treatment daily in Mohalla clinics. More than 500 Mohalla Clinics have been set up in Delhi. Here patients get free medicines and other facilities.
