Arrest warrant issued against KRK

Advocate Paresh Joshi said that on the application of his client Manoj Bajpayee, after hearing both the sides, a First Class Judicial Magistrate (JMFC) has issued an arrest warrant against the KRK on Thursday itself. At the same time, KRK has to appear in the court on 10 May 2023.

‘KRK deliberately does not reach the court’

In this application, it was said on behalf of Manoj Bajpayee that KRK is fully aware of the defamation case pending in the district court of Indore, but he is deliberately not appearing before the court to allegedly delay the hearing.

Expected to get relief from stay order

On the other hand, the JMFC has been requested by the KRK to stay the proceedings against them in the district court as a petition has been filed by them in the Apex Court in which they are hopeful of getting relief from the stay order. Let us tell you that on behalf of KRK, JMFC was also told that he is suffering from cancer, so he is not able to reach the court.

Why did Manoj Bajpayee file the case

Padma Shri awardee Manoj Bajpayee has alleged in a lawsuit filed in the district court of Indore that KRK had made two tweets on July 26, 2021 from different Twitter handles with the intention of hurting his honor and reputation. Said bald which is not correct at all.

KRK said these things in defense

At the same time, during the debate on the petition filed in the High Court, KRK’s lawyer rejected the said allegation, saying that one of these Twitter handles, KRK Box Office, has been sold to a person named Salim Ahmed on October 22, 2020 itself and KRK was not using this handle at the time of the alleged tweet about Manoj Bajpayee. On the other hand, in his defense in the High Court on behalf of KRK, it was also said that he has never made any comment with the intention of insulting Manoj Bajpayee or any other artist of the Indian film industry.
