If they are not respected here, will they be respected in Punjab or Bengal. We are doing the same way other people are proud of their province. There is no crime in this.” ” Thackeray once had a fight with former cricketer Sachin Tendulkar. Sachin had said about Maharashtra that the whole of India has a right over this state. Bal Thackeray got angry on this. He had said that Tendulkar should stay on the cricket pitch, let us play the game of politics.

Just like that in politics also when the old ones go, only then new people will come. Along with this, he said that no one had been able to get him out till date due to his not being a good bowler. That’s why they are doing self withdrawal themselves. After this, on his 84th birthday, Bal Thackeray had said in an editorial in Shiv Sena’s mouthpiece ‘Saamana’, ‘The remote control of politics is in my hands and the remote control will remain with me.
