Big reshuffle in Odisha cabinet, all cabinet ministers resigned: Sources

There has been a major reshuffle in the Odisha government’s cabinet. According to sources, all the cabinet ministers tendered their resignations following the instructions of CM Naveen Patnaik. The process of electing new cabinet ministers in his place is going on. It is expected that on Sunday afternoon all the ministers of the new cabinet will take the oath of office and secrecy. For which the Raj Bhavan administration is preparing.
According to sources, CM Naveen Patnaik and BJD are focusing on the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, due to which the decision was taken to reshuffle the cabinet. There was also sluggishness in the work of some ministers, so it was necessary to remove them. Sources said that all the 20 ministers have submitted their resignations to the governor. The new cabinet ministers will take oath at the convention hall of Raj Bhavan at 11.45 am on Sunday.

On the other hand, recently by-elections were held in the Brajrajnagar assembly seat of Odisha. In which BJD won a landslide victory and its candidate Alka Mohanty defeated her opponent by 66,122 votes. On the other hand, the opposition party BJP reached the third position. However, the performance of Congress was satisfactory in this election, where Kishor Patel came second with 27831 votes.
