After the manner in which Rahul Gandhi made several allegations against Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his speech in Parliament, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey on Wednesday wrote a letter to the Lok Sabha speaker giving a notice of breach of privilege against Rahul Gandhi. Nishikant Dubey has written in his letter that Rahul Gandhi has made baseless allegations against PM Modi, made objectionable remarks against him. Rahul Gandhi has no evidence to support whatever allegations he has made. Some of the statements made by Rahul were later expunged from the records.

Nishikant Dubey said that the allegations made by Rahul Gandhi are misleading, objectionable, indecent and unparliamentary, indecent and unbecoming of Parliament and the post of Prime Minister. After making such statement, Rahul Gandhi was supposed to submit documents in support of his statement, but he has not done so yet. I appeal to you to take immediate action against Rahul Gandhi and bring a privilege notice for contempt of the House against him.

Citing the rules, Union Minister Prahlad Joshi said that according to the rule of Parliament, no MP can make any allegation in the House without prior notice. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi made baseless allegations yesterday. His statement should be expunged from the records of the House and a notice of breach of privilege should be brought against him. Notice should be given to Rahul Gandhi.
