The Aam Aadmi Party has targeted Bhaja over the recruitment of principals and teachers in government schools in Delhi. AAP has said that several attempts were made to recruit staff in schools in Delhi, but the BJP through the Lt. Governor is not allowing this effort to succeed.

Aam Aadmi Party leader Atishi Marlena on Sunday alleged that at the instigation of the BJP leadership, the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi put a ban on the finalization of appointments in government schools in Delhi. He said that even though there is an elected government in Delhi, it does not have the right to take the final decision on appointments. In its place, the central government has full rights to make appointments, transfer and posting of officers.

He said that the Delhi government has the right to construct buildings of hospitals and schools in the capital, but when it comes to appointing employees in these institutions, it is not given this right. He alleged that in the last eight years the Delhi government was not allowed to complete the recruitments.

Earlier, Deputy CM Manish Sisodia also made similar allegations against the BJP-led central government and LG VK Saxene. He has said that for the last 8 years, the Central Government’s representative LG (VK Saxena) did not allow the appointment of teaching/non-teaching staff in government schools. Not only this, he did not allow the slip cutter to be admitted in the hospital. Accusing the Center and the LG, he said that on the one hand they do not allow appointments and on the other they make noises that there is no staff in the hospital and no teacher in the schools. Sisodia said that we have given world class facilities in the schools, he (LG) should appreciate it.
