Bus fell into a ditch on Yamunotri National Highway, 22 killed including passengers from Madhya Pradesh, CM Shivraj informed

Let us tell you that a painful accident has happened near Damta Rikhaon Khad on Yamunotri National Highway in the state of Uttarakhand. Where a bus full of Chardham passengers fell into a ditch uncontrollably. It is being told that there were 28 passengers in the bus so far 22 bodies have been recovered. As soon as the information was received, the police and SDRF team reached the spot and the rescue work is going on.

Such a big accident has happened, so I can’t sleep: CM Shivraj
CM said that when such a big accident has happened in Uttarakhand, I cannot sleep. I am leaving for Dehradun immediately. A team of senior officials including Minister Vijender Singh, DGP, Home Secretary is also going with me. Our sympathies are with those who have lost their families.
Very unfortunate tragic accident. A bus of brothers and sisters from Panna district who had gone on Chardham pilgrimage fell into a gorge. Many devotees died. I immediately spoke to the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Pushkar Singh Dhami ji. They have activated the entire administrative machinery immediately.
On the instructions of Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, SDRF including Collector, SP have also reached the spot and engaged in relief and rescue work. The injured have been admitted to the local hospital. The Chief Secretary of Madhya Pradesh is constantly in touch with the Chief Secretary of Uttarakhand.
A team of ours has left for Uttarakhand from Delhi, which will make arrangements for relief, rescue, treatment besides transporting the dead bodies of the deceased devotees to the relatives. 5 lakh each will be given to the next of kin of the dead and Rs 50,000 to the seriously injured. The treatment of the injured is our priority.

People were shocked to see the dead bodies lying in the ditch
Seeing the bus that fell in the ditch near Damta, there was panic among the local people and people gathered after hearing the screams. Whoever heard about this painful accident, ran away, the bus that was a victim of the accident was blown away. The whole ditch is littered with dead bodies.

22 bodies recovered
Purola Police Station Officer Ashok Kumar told that I myself am at the spot. The bus has fallen into a ditch 150 to 200 meters deep. Due to which the bus has been blown up. Because the bus has fallen into such a deep gorge. That’s why it is taking a long time to rescue. So far, the bodies of 22 passengers have been recovered, according to the information, there were a total of 28 passengers in the bus. Due to the deep gorge and darkness, the dead body is also facing difficulty in transporting it to the road. So far only two bodies have reached the road.
