New Delhi, 31 May. By-elections are being held in three states of the country today. The bypolls will be held in Bajrangnagar in Odisha, Trikkakara in Kerala and Champawat in Uttarakhand. In Uttarakhand, the fate of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is at stake, he is in the electoral fray from Champawat. On the other hand, talk about Trikkakar of Kerala, where Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan is leading the election. While the Leader of the Opposition VD Satishan has taken over the command on behalf of the UDF. Talking about the Bharatiya Janata Party, the state president Surendran is handling the front on behalf of the NDA. All three had put their strength in the election campaign.
This is the first direct election for Pinarayi Vijayan after coming to power in the state. Let us inform that Congress MLA PT Thomas had passed away, due to which the by-election is being held here. Congress will try to keep this seat with itself. The party has fielded Thomas’s wife Uma Thomas. While the CPI has fielded eminent cardiologist Dr. Joe Joseph. BJP has given ticket to AN Radhakrishnan. Uma Thomas says she is completely confident of her victory. People know who to vote for, who has done good work in the area.

On the other hand, in the Bajrangnagar assembly seat of Odisha, a total of 2.14 voters will exercise their franchise here. 279 booths have been set up for the elections. Here the seat fell vacant due to the death of MLA Kishore Mohanty. BJP and Congress would like to challenge the BJD by registering a victory on this seat. Though BJD and BJP are part of NDA but both are contesting separately here. Suresh Mohanty’s wife Alka Mohanty is in the fray here, BJD has given her a ticket. While BJP has given ticket to former MLA Radharani Panda, Congress has given ticket to Kishor Chandra Patel.
