Case registered against women members of VHP for waving sword in Kerala Case Filed against VHP women wing Durga Vahini for brandishing swords during railly in Kerala

New Delhi, 30 May. Police have taken action against 4 women members of Vishwa Hindu Parishad for waving swords during a rally in Kerala’s capital Thiruvananthapuram. The Kerala Police has taken this action against the four members of Durga Vahini, the women’s wing of Vishwa Hindu Parishad.
The case was registered against the members of the Durga Vahini at the Eriankode police station in the capital city of Thiruvananthapuram. According to police, during the rally on Sunday, a protest was held in the state capital against the organizers of a rally of Durga Vahini, the women’s wing of Vishwa Hindu Parishad. In which four members of Durga Vahini were allegedly seen waving swords. This video later went viral.
After the video surfaced, the political wing of the Popular Front of India, SDPI, had demanded action from the police administration in the matter. After the video of the rally surfaced on social media, the police registered a case against 4 members of Durga Vahini under the Arms Act for trying to disturb communal peace and harmony.
