Treatment was going on in the community hospital
In Hariharpur of Nawagarh block, children ate Ratanjot seed thinking it to be a fruit, according to the information, there is no boundary wall in the primary school of the village. Because of which the children while playing reached near the Ratanjot plant planted in the field. About 5 hours after eating Ratanjot seeds, the children started vomiting, then the relatives got scared. Initially, Mitanin gave vomiting medicine. But his health started deteriorating in the night. After which Mitanin took him to the community hospital with the help of Sanjeevani 108.

BEO took information about children’s health
On the information of these children falling sick, there was a stir in the education department, in the night BEO Loknath was tied up and the police team was informed. After which information about the health of the children was taken after reaching the homes of the rest of the children. The rest of the children were sleeping after eating. Even then the children were taken to the hospital. The children were kept under the supervision of doctors overnight. All were discharged after treatment on the second day.

500 crores were spent in 12 years
In fact, the former BJP government had shown the state the dream of becoming self-sufficient in diesel fuel. In the year 2006, the then BJP government created a record by planting Ratanjot saplings under MNREGA in 1650 square kilometers in the state through Vriksha Mitra Abhiyan. About 500 crore rupees were spent on this scheme in 12 years. Biodiesel plant was also set up at a cost of 50 lakhs. The government had claimed that by the year 2014, Chhattisgarh would be self-sufficient in diesel. But this plan was a complete flop.

Saplings worth crores were planted
Ratanjot saplings were also planted in Kabirdham district by spending about Rs 3 crore. Apart from this, saplings were planted in Rajnandgaon, Durg, Mahasamund, Bemetara by spending crores. More saplings were planted on railway land. But most of the plants died due to lack of care. But the remaining plants are proving fatal for the children. Due to this, many incidents of children falling ill after eating this seed have come to the fore in almost all the districts of the state.
