Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel transferred an amount of Rs 4 crore 27 lakh online to the account of cattle herders, farmers, landless villagers, farmers and landless in lieu of purchase of 2.13 lakh quintal cow dung from January 1 to January 15.

Rs 2.23 crore was paid to Gauthan committees. Dividend amount of Rs 01 crore 53 lakh was transferred to the account of women groups. The Godhan Yojana has started in Chhattisgarh from 20 July 2020. So far, 100.86 lakh quintals of cow dung has been procured under the scheme at the rate of Rs. 2 per kg.

201.72 crore has been paid to cow dung vendors so far. So far Rs 175.64 crore has been paid to Gauthan committees and women self-help groups. In this way, Rs 395.35 crore has been paid to the beneficiaries of Godhan Nyay Yojana so far.

This time too, for the purchase of cow dung in the fortnight from January 1 to 15, 2023, the self-reliant Gothans of the state paid more amount than the Agriculture Department. Out of Rs 4.27 crore paid to cow dung vendors today, Rs 2.52 crore was paid by 4690 self-supporting Gothans from their own resources and Rs 1.75 crore was paid by the Agriculture Department.

So far cow dung worth Rs 37.71 crore has been procured by the self-supporting Gauthans. So far, 1 lakh 20 thousand 171 liters of cow urine has been bought in Gothans for Rs.4 a litre. Women self-help groups earned an income of Rs 23.98 lakh from the sale of insecticide Brahmastra and growth enhancer Jeevamrit made from cow urine.

On the appeal of para donation, farmers donated 15.68 lakh quintals of para in Gothans. So far more than 27 lakh quintals of compost has been produced from cow dung. More than 3 lakh 98 thousand villagers have been benefited from Godhan Nyay Yojana. Out of 10 thousand 921 Gothans sanctioned in the state, 9596 Gothans have been built.

Women self-help groups have earned an income of Rs 105.18 crore so far from income-oriented activities in Gothans. One lakh 31 thousand 898 women of 11 thousand 477 women self-help groups are employed in Gothans.
