Chandigarh. There is relief news for lakhs of youths who are looking for jobs in Haryana. After a long wait, the dates for the Common Eligibility Test for Group-C in Haryana have been announced. Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar himself said that the Common Eligibility Test (CET) for Group-C will be held in the month of November. After this, the second level test will be conducted for Group-C. Chief Minister Manohar Lal made this announcement while interacting with the journalists after a mass dialogue program organized in the auditorium of Chaudhary Devi Lal University, Sirsa on Sunday.

Responding to a question related to Panchayati Raj elections, the Chief Minister said that Haryana State Election Commission has been written to conduct Panchayati Raj elections by November 30. Some people had gone to the court regarding the reservation of Backward Class-A and 50 percent participation of women. Following an order from the Supreme Court, the government had set up a commission to determine reservation in Panchayati elections for Backward Class-A.

After its report, the government has issued an ordinance, which has been approved by the governor. Reservation work is going on in Wardbandi. In the coming days, orders will be issued to the Deputy Commissioners to fix ward wise reservations. The Deputy Commissioners have a week’s time for this. Thereafter elections will be held as soon as possible.

VAT on petrol and diesel in Haryana is less than neighboring states
Chief Minister Manohar Lal said that the central government had asked the states to reduce VAT on petroleum products to reduce inflation. After this, the Haryana government has reduced the rates of VAT on petrol and diesel twice. Haryana still has less VAT than neighboring states.
