Ranchi, November 24: Chief Minister Hemant Soren went to Delhi in a special flight on Wednesday evening. He will attend the International Trade Fair 2022 as the chief guest at the Jharkhand State Day celebrations organized on Thursday. People will be exposed to the traditional dance, songs and culture of Jharkhand in the fair on Jharkhand Day. It will be organized at 5 pm at Amphi Theater located at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
In the trade fair, not only Jharkhand’s silk clothes have become the center of attraction for the people, but the tableau of the work being done by the state government to strengthen the rural economy and generate self-employment is also attracting people. According to the thinking of the Chief Minister, the artefacts displayed in the stalls of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry Department, Organic Agriculture, Forest Products, Gerda, Chief Minister’s Small and Cottage Enterprises Development Board are being liked by the visitors. Their sales are also increasing.
Jharkhand Organic Agriculture Authority has put up an exhibition of products through stalls. Information related to organic farming is being given to the visitors of the fair through booklets, films etc. Dr. M. Siva said, about 97000 farmers are associated with OFAZ and organic farming is being done on more than 1 lakh hectares of land. The target is to do this in 20 lakh hectares of land. Jharkhand is included as a partner state in the fair organized till 27th November. The traditional tribal jackets, caps etc displayed by the weavers, tribal artisans of the state are very much liked by the visitors.
Earlier, President of All Jharkhand Primary Teachers Association Bijendra Choubey, General Secretary Ramamurthy Thakur and Chief Spokesperson Naseem Ahmed drew the attention of the CM on the pending problems. Said, primary teachers are agitating for four demands. These include giving the benefit of MACP like other states, removing the discrepancy in the upgraded pay scale of the sixth pay scale, simplifying the rule of inter-district transfer and freeing teachers from non-academic work.
