Withdrawal of troops from Friction Point
According to government sources, the armies of India and China on Tuesday completed the decommissioning process in the Gogra Heights-Hot Springs area near Patrolling Point-15 in the eastern Ladakh sector. The border dispute between India and China has been going on for many decades. Let us tell you that due to the increasing standoff between the armies of India and China in Galvan Valley of Eastern Ladakh in 2020, the relations between the two countries had deteriorated significantly. The border dispute between the two countries extends to the Galwan Valley, Patrol Point 15 (PP-15) of the Gogra-Hot Springs area, Demchok and Depsang. According to a government source, after the 16th round of talks between India and China, the armies of both countries have withdrawn from Patrol Point 15 (PP-15) in the Gogra-Hot Springs area in eastern Ladakh.
Both sides have also completed verification of each other’s position adapter to bring back troops from the friction point. Let us tell you that the armies of both the countries announced on 8 September that they had started withdrawing forces from PP-15. After the incursion of the People’s Liberation Army of China in May 2020, the tension between the two countries increased significantly along the patrolling point 15 (PP15) of Hot Springs, PP17A near Gogra Post, PP14 near Galwan Valley and the northern bank of Pangong Tso Lake. . Chinese soldiers had infiltrated the LAC and entered these points including PP15 and PP17A. After this there was a huge standoff between India and China.
There was heavy damage to both sides in Galwan Valley
Let us tell you that in June 2020, there was a violent clash between the soldiers of the two countries in Galvan Valley, in which 20 Indian soldiers were martyred while 30 Chinese soldiers were reported to have been killed. However, China’s claim was different, it rejected India’s claims. At the same time, PP15 and PP17A are located in the area where India and China have largely agreed on LAC alignment.
Will the tension between the two countries be reduced now?
After the 2020 incident, the deployment of the Chinese military in the Hot Springs-Gogra area had increased significantly. Now with the withdrawal of the armies of both countries (China-India) from the Hot Springs-Gogra area, India’s tension with China will be reduced, as well as officially ending the standoff at all the new friction points erected by the Chinese army in 2020. Will happen.
