Class III and IV employees of Jharkhand will get the facility of cashless health insurance. Health Minister Banna Gupta announced this in the House on the question of Male MLA Vinod Singh. Raising the matter, Male MLA Vinod Singh said that the officials and employees of the state are not covered by the health insurance scheme. Due to non-implementation of health insurance, the state officials had to pay both medical allowance and reimbursement. In this, the government has to spend an amount of more than 200 crores.

The state government has been in process for nine years for cashless system and health insurance. When will it be completed? Government should tell the time limit, Health Minister Banna Gupta said that the government is worried about its personnel. Many things need to be increased. We have sent the proposal to the Finance and Personnel Department. MLA Mr. Singh said that the process is going on since nine years. If not one month, two months, then give a time limit of three months only. The minister said that you are talking about three months, we are saying that we will do it in one or two months. It was an old resolution, many changes are taking place in it. Yes, we are not saying no, we are going to provide health insurance facility.

During the discussion on the budget, Bhanu Pratap Shahi demanded an increase in the salaries of the MLAs. It was supported by many MLAs. Urged the CM to speak on this. CM Hemant Soren said that the former government while in power has done such a thing that it is difficult even to get the MLAs treated. If the MLA and his wife want to get their treatment done, they will have to get treatment on the lines of AIIMS. That too in some identified hospitals only. There is no such rule for office bearers.

He can get any amount of treatment done anywhere. But the present government is sensitive. We are getting the Sindri MLA treated. The government is committed to the life and property of the general public as well as public representatives. We also get the criminal treated by air ambulance. The situation is that the treatment expenses of late Rajendra Babu, former MLA, are being deducted from his pension. The government will take a reasonable decision regarding the salary and other facilities of the MLAs. There will be a just decision in this. After discussing with the chairman, a suitable decision will be taken on this.
