Telangana Health Minister Harish Rao said that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao is the only person who thinks about Hindus in the country. He said that in the past the governments misused the funds of the temples, but the KCR government gave the government money to the temples.
Harish Rao distributed grant documents to students selected under Vivekananda Foreign Education Scheme under the aegis of Brahmin Welfare Council at Boggulakunta, Hyderabad. Under the scheme, Rs 20 lakh each was sanctioned to each of the 121 Brahmin students selected for foreign studies.
Harish Rao said that CM KCR’s intention is to help the poor in the Brahmin community, as they are the custodians of Hinduism. He said that KCR had built the first community hall for the Brahmin community in Siddipet. At the same time, he questioned why the Brahmins were not being helped in the BJP-ruled states.
