Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Thursday warned that India too could descend into anarchy like Taliban-ruled Afghanistan if the country was divided on communal and caste lines. He said that if there is a situation of curfew, lathicharge and firing, then no foreign investor will come to the country. KCR was addressing public meetings at Bhadradri Kothagudem and Mahabubabad.
“There is a need for a progressive government at the Center and the first BRS public meeting in Khammam on January 18 will set the stage for opposition unity,” KCR said. This public meeting will usher in a fair and effective governance at the Centre. Leaders of various states will participate in the rally and I urge people to know what is happening in the country. There should be victory of the people, not the victory of political parties or politicians. I urge all of you to make the Khammam rally a grand success.
CM KCR also inaugurated the District Collectorate Complex at Mahabubabad District Headquarters. Speaking at two public meetings, CM KCR pointed out how the state’s flagship schemes have furthered Telangana’s development in eight years, while accusing the Center of failing to successfully harness the country’s power and water resources.
