Chandigarh, June 20. Chief Minister Manohar Lal presented a letter of appreciation to Heyansh Kumar, a resident of village Babra Bakipur in Gurugram, for hoisting the tricolor at Mount Everest Base Camp and wished him good luck for the future. He said that this child has shown indomitable courage at a young age. The Chief Minister said that there is such an atmosphere of sports in Haryana that children get involved in sports from a young age. Demonstrating the same spirit of sport, Heyansh has brought glory to the state at such a young age, becoming the youngest child to reach the base camp of Mount Everest. The Chief Minister said that this child will set new records like this in future, it is his belief. The Chief Minister has also congratulated Hayyansh Kumar’s parents for this achievement of the child.
Chief Minister Manohar Lal was at the Public Works Rest House in Gurugram on Monday. The Chief Minister said that he came to know from newspapers and media that a child of Babara Bakipur village in Gurugram district, Hayyansh Kumar, had achieved the feat of going to Mount Everest Base Camp, and then he felt a desire to meet this brave child. Hayyansh Kumar was called to the rest house where he had come with his father Manjeet Kumar. The Chief Minister, Manohar Lal, seated the child in his lap, caressed him and talked to him a lot. As if he remembered his childhood, he was talking to Heyansh like a child. He fed sweets to Hayyansh. He had made Hayyansh his friend and from where did the idea of climbing Mount Everest come from, how did he feel about going to the base camp, what was good and what was bad etc.
Keep in mind that at the age of 3 years, 7 months and 27 days, Heyansh Kumar of Gurugram district has come into the limelight by becoming the youngest mountaineer in the world. Heyansh has demonstrated amazing determination by climbing Mount Everest Base Camp at such a young age and his base camp was at an altitude of 5364 meters above sea level. Her journey was sponsored by Mankind Pharma. Hayyansh Kumar completed his formal training in Himachal Pradesh. After this, on 23 April 2022, he started this journey with his father Manjeet Kumar, due to proper planning of the journey, he successfully climbed Mount Everest Base Camp. During their journey they stopped at Phagdin, Namche Bazaar, Tongbechu, Pherichi, Thukla and Gorakhshpe before reaching their final destination. Earlier this record was in the name of a child of 4 years 4 months, Advat Golecha.
