Mamdot police station of district Ferozepur has achieved a major success under CM Mann’s campaign against drugs and arms smuggling.
Firozpur: Under CM Mann’s campaign against drugs and arms smuggling Mamdot police station of district Ferozepur has achieved a big success. Police under the leadership of SHO Inspector Lekhraj recovered weapons and 2 packets (about 2 kg) of heroin at the Indo-Pak border. This heroin and weapons were sent by Pakistani smugglers which were to be further supplied by Indian smugglers.
According to the information, a special search operation was conducted under the leadership of Inspector Lekhraj by the Mamdot police station in the area of Sethwali village of the Indo-Pak border. Police found a pistol, 2 magazines, 12 cartridges and 2 packets of heroin. Action is being taken by the police regarding this seizure and the smugglers who procured heroin and weapons are being traced. The value of the seized heroin in the international market is said to be around Rs 10 crore.
