Congress leader Supriya Shrinate has been appointed as the Chairman of Social Media and Digital Platforms in the Department of Communications with immediate effect.
The Congress has appointed Supriya Shrinate as its Chairman of Social Media and Digital Platforms in its communications department in place of Rohan Gupta, who has been appointed as the party spokesperson with immediate effect.

The Congress President has approved the appointment of Supriya Shrinate as the Chairperson, Social Media and Digital Platforms in the new Department of Communications with immediate effect. The party appreciates the contribution of Rohan Gupta, outgoing Chairman of Social Media Department. Rohan Gupta has been appointed as AICC spokesperson with immediate effect. Congress has reformed its communication department by appointing Jairam Ramesh as general secretary in-charge. It has also appointed Pawan Khera as the Chairman of Media and Publicity in the Department of Communications.

Significantly, during the recently held Udaipur ‘Chintan Shivir’, the Congress had decided to strengthen its communication wing to help it improve its engagement with the people.
