New Delhi. The language controversy has once again gained momentum. DMK leader and Rajya Sabha MP has given a controversial statement comparing Hindi and Tamil language. DMK MP TKS Elangovan made a controversial statement saying that Hindi will reduce the status of Tamils to ‘Shudra’.

After this statement of DMK MP, discussions have started again. The MP said that the states where Hindi is the state language, that state is not a developed state of the country, whereas the states where their mother tongue is the state language, those states are doing well. He said that by forcibly importing Hindi, an attempt is being made to impose views on Tamil speaking people.
He said what will Hindi do? will only make us shudra. The DMK MP also criticized Home Minister Amit Shah for advocating for Hindi and said that Hindi will never give us any benefit. He compared that if states like West Bengal, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Gujarat are developed states because their mother tongue is not Hindi. While states like Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan are underdeveloped, why should I learn Hindi?
He accused the Tamil speaking state of imposing Hindi and said that the Tamil Nadu government was forcibly imposing Hindi on Tamil speakers in the National Education Policy 2020. He said that we will oppose it. Only Tamil and English will run in Tamil Nadu, which has been running here for years.
