He said that during the surgery performed on Sunday, the RHC staff cut off the head of the newborn baby in the mother’s womb and left it inside. According to Pakistani media, Professor Raheel Sikander said that, when the woman’s condition worsened, she was hurriedly taken to another nearby hospital, which had no facilities for her treatment. Eventually, her family brought her to LUMHS, where the rest of the newborn’s body was removed from the mother’s womb, saving her life. Dr. Sikandar said that the baby’s head was stuck inside and the mother’s uterus had ruptured and doctors had to open her abdomen to save her life and then the head was pulled out.

After this terrible negligence, Dr. Juman Bahoto, Director General of Sindh Health Services, has formed a separate team for investigation. He said that the inquiry committee would find out what happened, especially why there was absence of gynecologist and women staff in RHC at Chacharo when doctors should have been there. He said that the inquiry committee would also look into the reports that the woman was being tortured on a stretcher and then video was being made of her. He said that some medical staff inside the hospital took pictures of the woman suffering in the gynecology ward, made a video of her and then it was made viral, the investigation team will also investigate it, as it is inhumane.
