Himachal and Gujarat assembly elections have been announced. After this, now the Election Commission has also announced by-elections in five states. Voting for these seats is on December 5, while the result along with Gujarat and Himachal will be declared on December 8. Apart from this, the model code of conduct has come into force in the areas where elections are to be held.


Samajwadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav died a few days ago, due to which the Maunpuri Lok Sabha seat of UP fell vacant. There now the Election Commission has announced the by-election. Apart from this, by-elections will be held in Padmapur in Odisha, Sardarshahar in Rajasthan, Kudhni in Bihar, Bhanupratappur in Chhattisgarh and Rampur in UP.

Azam Khan’s membership was canceled
Let us tell you that recently the court sentenced SP leader Azam Khan to three years in the hate speech case. He has challenged this decision in the upper court. After this decision, Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana abolished Azam Khan’s legislature. Because of which by-elections are now being held on Rampur seat. Earlier Azam Khan was an MP from Rampur Lok Sabha seat, but he resigned. Later by-elections were held and that seat went to BJP.

When will the elections in Himachal-Gujarat?
This time elections are being held in one phase in Himachal, under which voting will be held on November 12, while in Gujarat, on the other hand, polling will be held in two phases. There is another voting on 5 December. The result of both the states will come on 8th December.
