Due to the change in the weather, the Delhi government has been alerted in view of the increasing infection of H3N2 influenza virus in many states of the country. Health Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj said that there is no danger regarding this in Delhi, but still we have issued guidelines. It will also be monitored on the lines of Corona.
District surveillance team has been activated to increase surveillance on the spread of influenza at hospitals, health centers. He said that to avoid this we have to take care of the precautions taken during Kovid.
Saurabh Bhardwaj said in a press conference held in the assembly premises that not many cases of this virus have been reported in government hospitals in Delhi. We have to be careful to avoid this. To keep an eye on the situation, patients with flu-like symptoms and patients with severe respiratory complaints will be monitored in OPD and IPD hospitals of all districts of Delhi, so that such people can be identified and further infection can be prevented. .
Elderly and children need to be alert
Bhardwaj said that H1N1 influenza and H3N2 influenza usually come from January to March and after the end of the second monsoon. In this, such people are more at risk, who already have lung related disease. Apart from this, it is affecting the elderly above 65 years and children below five years.
Symptoms of H3N2 virus and who is more at risk
● High fever, prolonged cough, increased expectoration, runny nose, headache, nausea, loss or loss of appetite, and body aches.
● People with asthma, patients with lung infection, elderly people, pregnant women and children below five years of age, who have had corona before, should take special care.
● If not necessary, do not go to crowded places. Avoid shaking hands. Stay away from the person having cold and cough. Keep washing your hands frequently, if possible use a mask in crowded places, do consult a doctor if symptoms appear.
