The Forest and Wildlife Department of the Delhi government will soon start the work of developing the urban forest here. This proposal has been approved by the top officials and other agencies. Now the tender for this will be issued by the department.
Vipul Pandey, Deputy Conservator of Forests, Northern Region of Forest and Wildlife Department, said that this proposal was being prepared by the department for a long time. Finally this proposal has been approved and 20 acres of land has been selected for urban forest. This forest will be prepared in such a way that people will be able to feel the beautiful and attractive natural environment with morning and evening walks here. For this, attention is also being paid to the beauty of the forest.
Oxygen will be available from about five thousand trees
The official said that about five thousand trees would be present in the urban forest. A variety of species will be included in the trees. Along with this, information will also be written about some of these trees, so that the people coming here can increase the information about trees and plants. Apart from this, beautiful flowers can also be seen here.
Toilet facilities with attractive gazebo
Gazebo will also be constructed for the comfort of the people in the urban forest, from where the view of nature can be taken from all around. Along with this, people will also be protected from sun and rain. Apart from this, toilet facilities will also be available here, so that cleanliness remains in the park. The good thing is that toilets will also be constructed here for the handicapped. Explain that the gazebo is usually a structure built in the park, which is open from all four directions. It is used to protect from the sun and rain.
One kilometer track will be prepared
According to the official, a track of about one kilometer will be prepared in the urban forest. The track will be developed in a crude way so that people can get a feel of the nature. However, red soil will be put on it, so that it does not become slippery during the rainy season.
Four urban forests of international standard are to be developed in Delhi
Environment Minister Gopal Rai had in April announced the development of four urban forests of international standard in Delhi. Under this, a target has been set to develop forests in the four corners of Delhi in the initial phase. These include Mitron Urban Forest in South West Delhi, Alipore Urban Forest in North Delhi, Garhi Mandu Urban Forest in East Delhi and Jaunapur Urban Forest in South Delhi. These four urban forests are spread over about 286 acres of Delhi. The project covers 98 acres of pockets A and B of Mitrau Urban Forest, 48 acres of Alipore, 42 acres of Garhi Mandu and 98 acres of Jaunapur.
