Delhi Pollution: Delhi’s air quality index in ‘very poor’ category, AQI 321, schools to open from tomorrow

Delhi Air Pollution AQI: The level of air pollution in Delhi is increasing day by day. Pollution in Delhi has increased since Diwali. The air quality in the national capital was recorded in the ‘very poor’ category with an AQI of 321 on Tuesday morning. The average air quality index in Delhi NCR is in the ‘very poor’ category as of 6 am. The AQI in Noida has been recorded as 354 in the ‘very poor’ category. Gurugram’s AQI is 326.

Elsewhere, Dhirpur registered an AQI of 319, Lodhi Road registered an AQI of 317, Delhi Airport (T3) had an AQI of 323, while Mathura Road recorded an AQI of 338. Also Pusa had an AQI of 322, Delhi University had an AQI of 336, while IIT Delhi had an AQI of 292.

Meanwhile, seeing a slight improvement in pollution levels, the Delhi government has decided to re-open primary classes from November 9 and revoke the order for 50 per cent of its employees to work from home. Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai said that however the operation of BS-III petrol and BS-IV diesel four wheelers in Delhi will remain prohibited under Phase 3 of the Graded Response Action Plan.
