The court has framed charges against a total of 7 accused, including Aam Aadmi Party councilor Tahir Hussain, in the North East Delhi violence case. The accused in the case were charged with attempt to murder, criminal conspiracy and illegal assembly. In the case, the court said that the accused had done the work of inciting the mob to violence.

On Saturday, the court has framed charges against a total of 7 accused in the North East Delhi violence case. Among the accused against whom charges were framed, the name of former Aam Aadmi Party councilor Tahir Hussain is also included. The accused have been charged with alleged attempt to murder, criminal conspiracy and unlawful assembly in the case. In the case, the court said that the accused were inciting others to teach a lesson to Hindus and harm them.

The Karkardooma Court was hearing a case of riots in North East Delhi. AAP councilor Tahir Hussain is the main accused in the case. Earlier in the case, 10 people including AAP councilor had been freed from the charge of arson. After which the matter was sent to the Subordinate Magistrate Court for consideration of other charges including the riots.

Initially, the police had registered a general case regarding the incident. It was alleged that rioters threw petrol bombs along with stones from the terrace of Tahir Hussain’s house. The complaint of a person named Bhagwan Singh was also added to the FIR. Bhagwan Singh had alleged that the rioters had torched a rickshaw filled with his daughter’s wedding supplies. During the hearing on this, the court found that there was no fire in the immovable property. In such a case, the allegation of arson made under section 436 of the IPC is not made out.
