New Delhi.
The 15th season of the recently concluded Indian Premier League (IPL) saw the talent of some of the finest fast bowlers. While Umran Malik grabbed headlines with his pace, left-arm bowlers Arshdeep Singh and Mohsin Khan bowled exceptionally well and troubled some of the world’s greatest batsmen. But it also helped some experienced players to make a comeback.

India’s fast bowler Umesh Yadav, who was part of Kolkata Knight Riders, started bowling brilliantly early in the season. His IPL franchise might not have made it to the top four, but Umesh ended the season with 16 wickets in 12 matches. The former Delhi Capitals player showed his white-ball prowess and regularly touched the top speed of 140 kmph.

The 34-year-old fast bowler is a part of India’s Test team. He will be seen playing in the remaining Test against England, but he is away from the limited overs game. When asked about reaching the milestone of 100 Tests, Umesh said that he is taking one step at a time and is giving importance to fitness.
Umesh while talking on a YouTube channel said, “It is difficult to say whether I will play for the next five years or not. I am thinking of my smaller goals with every passing year. Now I am 34… When I’m 36, a lot will depend on how my body is reacting. If I stay away from injuries, my body will keep running. I have to think about coming back from India. As of now I am only thinking of playing good cricket and playing many more Test matches for the country.
He said, “I am not sure about the 100th Test but I will try to play as much as I can. There is a different kind of feeling to playing Tests. You make an impact if you say, ‘I have 70- Played 80 Test matches. People think you have something, which has helped you achieve the milestone.”
