After the recent dog bite cases, the Noida Authority has approved the dog policy. In which it states that if their pet causes bodily harm to any person then the owner will have to pay a fine of Rs 10,000. In a tweet from the official Twitter handle, Noida Authority said, “In case of any untoward incident caused by a pet dog/cat, a monetary penalty of Rs.10,000 will be given. At the same time, the cost of treatment of the injured person will also be paid by the owner of the pets.

It has been informed by tweeting that this decision has been taken in the 207th board meeting of Noida Authority. It has been said by tweeting, “Today in the 207th board meeting of Noida Authority, decisions have been taken regarding the policy formulation of Noida Authority for Stray / Pet Dogs / Pet Cats. The policy has been decided by the authority following the guidelines of Animal Welfare Board of India for Noida area.

It has been said by the Noida Authority that by March 31, both dogs and cats will have to be registered through NPRA. If the registration is not done then fine will also be imposed on it.

Stylization and antirabies vaccination have also been made mandatory for pet dogs.
