The rift between Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor (LG) VK Saxena and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government is widening. Manish Sisodia replied through a three-page letter to the comments made by the LG on Delhi’s government schools on Friday. Sharing it on Twitter, Sisodia wrote, “Yesterday, in a letter, Mr. LG had made many false allegations against the Education Department of Delhi. I have replied to his letter and requested not to make fun of the work of the teachers. Teachers of Delhi Has done wonders. I have also requested the LG sir that it is your responsibility in the constitution to fix the law and order. You fix the law and order and let us fix the education system.”

Commenting on the same tweet, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said, “Teachers, students and their parents of Delhi have worked hard together in the last seven years to improve the education system. Instead of insulting them, LG should encourage them.”

This school became a magnificent building
In another tweet, Sisodia said, “Till a few years ago, this school in Vasant village was in a dilapidated condition, where it was impossible to study. It did not look like a school, seeing dilapidated classrooms and desks, leaking roofs, broken boards.” It is a pleasure that due to the education revolution of Arvind Kejriwal, today this school has become a school with a wonderful building.” Along with this, Sisodia also shared the photos of the school.

LG has raised questions on the claims of Aam Aadmi Party
LG VK Saxena, through a letter written to Kejriwal on Friday, had raised questions on many issues including the status of education in government schools of Delhi. He had said that the average number of students in government schools has decreased every year, which was 70.73% in the year 2012-13 and has come down to 60.65% in the year 2019-20. Along with this, the LG has questioned the claims made by the Aam Aadmi Party regarding students going from private schools to government schools.
