Draupadi’s danda avalanche in 2 mountain peak, 21 people of Nehru Mountaineering Institute trapped, rescue operation continues



Dehradun, 4 October.
Avalanched in Dokrani Bamak Glacier in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand. 29 people of the Nehru Mountaineering Institute (NIM), were trapped after being hit by the avalanche. A rescue operation is being conducted to rescue them. 21 people are still stuck there.

Giving information, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that 28 trainees of Nehru Mountaineering Institute, Uttarkashi were stranded due to an avalanche in Draupadi’s Danda 2 mountain peak. After talking to the Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh ji and requested to take the help of the army to speed up the rescue operation, for which he has assured us to give all possible help from the central government. Train the trainees at the earliest. Rapid relief and rescue operations are being carried out by the district administration, SDRF Army and ITBP personnel along with the NDRF team for the safe evacuation.
