Addiction is a bad curse. Despite people doing it, they have to bear the brunt of it. Sometimes a person’s life is also lost due to intoxication. One such case has come from Tirupattur in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu. An inebriated person fell into a burning pyre in Jolarpet area here, burning to death.
According to the information, the person who died has been identified as 60-year-old Ashok Kumar. It is said that a case of theft was registered against him 30 years ago. After which he had left the village and lived by building a shed on the cremation ground.
It is said that on Wednesday evening, the relatives of a deceased were burning the dead body at the cremation ground. However, the dead body was not completely burnt, only then the family and relatives of the deceased left. Meanwhile Ashok Kumar who was intoxicated reached and fell on the pyre. Being intoxicated, he could not get up from the funeral pyre and was burnt to death. However, the statement of the police has not yet come regarding this whole matter.
