Farmers preparing for a big movement once again in Delhi, mahapanchayat may increase the difficulties of the government

Farmers in Delhi are once again preparing for a big movement. United Kisan Morcha is going to organize Kisan Mahapanchayat at Ramlila Maidan.

The central government had withdrawn three agricultural laws due to the farmers’ agitation. After this decision of the government, the farmers had ended their agitation. The farmers’ organizations which had opened a front against the government and forced the government to bow down, the same farmers’ organizations have once again talked about holding a mahapanchayat at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi. The promise made by the government to the farmers in November 2021 has not yet been fulfilled, due to which the farmers are once again preparing for the movement.

The United Kisan Morcha, which united all the farmers and gathered them in the movement, is preparing for a large number of Kisan Mahapanchayats. Farmers are preparing for the movement once again for the demand of minimum support price for all crops and to withdraw the case registered against the protesting farmers during the movement. All India Kisan Sabha Vice President Hannan Mollah said that the agricultural laws were withdrawn, but the Central Government did not fulfill the promises made, we will once again strengthen our movement. The next round of movement across the country will start with the Mahapanchayat.

The leaders of the United Kisan Morcha have appealed that the Central Government should immediately withdraw the Electricity Bill, which is currently in the Standing Committee of the Parliament. The central government had promised that it would discuss with the farmers before bringing this bill. But no one discussed with us. Our stand was completely ignored. If this bill is implemented then electricity bills will increase by 200-300 percent.

Another senior joint farmer leader Darshan Pal said that if the Delhi police and administration stop the farmers from going to Ramlila Maidan in Delhi, then we will not hesitate to agitate on the border as well. Farmers have started coming to Delhi. It will be a peaceful program where farmers will raise their problems. The administration should not stop us. Before this, the Center is reducing the income of farmers, taking away their land, forests and natural resources are being exploited for corporate benefits.
