Farmers will get benefit from improved varieties and techniques of crops developed in Haryana Agricultural University, income will increase

Chandigarh, June 1. Farmers of other states of the country will also be able to benefit from the improved varieties of wheat, mustard and oats developed by Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar. The University has signed MoU with a leading private sector seed company to promote technology commercialization under PPP.

By signing such agreements, it is the endeavor of the University that the improved varieties and techniques of crops developed here can be reached to more and more farmers. With this, where the income of the farmers will increase due to higher production of crops, the economic condition of the state and the country will also be strengthened.

Ten such MoUs have been signed with various private companies in the last one year. Under the above agreement, the company will prepare and deliver the seeds of WH 1270 of wheat, RH 725 of mustard and OS 405 of oats developed by the university to the farmers.
