First Hindutva and allegiance to Balasaheb, then Eknath Shinde deleted Shiv Sena from Twitter bio

Mumbai, June 21.
Shiv Sena’s rebel leader and Maharashtra minister Eknath Shinde has removed Shiv Sena from his Twitter bio after tweets on the subject of Hindutva and Balasaheb. Earlier, Shinde tweeted that he was a Shiv Sainik and would not betray the ideals learned from the party’s founder Balasaheb Thackeray.

The Maha Vikas Aghadi government has come under threat after the political crisis deepened in Maharashtra on Tuesday. Despite Eknath Shinde’s lakhs of attempts to persuade the rebel Shiv Sena MLAs, the situation did not change. Maharashtra minister and Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde was on Tuesday removed as the party’s leader in the state legislature and Ajay Chaudhary, a Mumbai MLA, was named as the leader of the Sena’s legislature party in his place.

After rebelling against Shiv Sena, Eknath Shinde tweeted, ‘We are Shiv Sainiks of Balasaheb Thackeray. Balasaheb has taught us Hindutva. We have never betrayed Balasaheb’s ideals for power and the teachings of Dharmaveer Anand Dighe and never will.’ Around the time he tweeted, the Shiv Sena sacked him as the party’s leader in the state legislature and named Ajay Choudhary, a Mumbai MLA, in his place. After which Shinde removed the name of party Shiv Sena from his Twitter bio.
