Rajauli, Foreign liquor worth Rs 10 lakh was seized from a mini truck in Bihar’s Rajauli. The police team that took action arrested two persons from the spot. Product Superintendent Anil Kumar Azad gave information about this. He told that once again a huge cache of liquor has been recovered in Rajauli. The product department team took this action during vehicle inspection.
SI Rajesh Kumar Sinha of the Excise Department said that, we check the vehicles coming from Jharkhand side at the check post under our jurisdiction. This was happening yesterday as well, when a Tata Ace BR 06 GC 9314 vehicle came on the road, we stopped it to check. Foreign liquor was found inside that vehicle. The vehicle was then parked near the product barracks and then the recovered liquor in cartoons was weighed. She sat 598.780 liters. At the same time, 1715 bottles of Royal Stag, McDowell, Australian Resume, Aristocrat Company were found in the count. We arrested the businessman including the driver.

The arrested businessman identified himself as Dashrath Singh, son of Karma Dayal Singh, resident of Jora village under Namkum police station area under Ranchi district of Jharkhand and Chhotu Gurum, son of Veer Bahadur Gurum, resident of Kokar Shiv Mandir locality under Sadar police station area of Ranchi district. Now it is being ascertained from where and how this foreign liquor was brought here. Police said that the two arrested businessmen have been sent to jail in judicial custody after registering an FIR under the Excise Act and Intermediate Prohibition.
