Students exposed the secrets of the school system
The students allege that the mid-day meal is not being provided as per the chart table. Along with this, the teachers do not even teach the students. On Tuesday, the students demonstrated against the arbitrariness of the teachers. When the in-charge and teacher did not reach the school till 10.30 am, the students locked the main gate and started protesting vigorously with placards in their hands. In this case, when an attempt was made to talk to the Block Education Officer, he did not receive the phone. On this issue, the District Education Officer said that he is currently in the Rajgir Mahotsav program, being free from the program, he will be able to speak anything in the matter.
The teachers were forced to feed poisoned food
A few days ago, a case of irregularities in the mid-day meal had come to the fore in Bihar’s Bhagalpur district, where 200 students fell ill at the same time after having the meal. Lizards were seen in the children’s food after which they complained about this to the teacher. On the complaint of the children, the teacher said, eat brinjal, not lizard. When the students refused to eat, the teacher forcefully thrashed them and fed them mid-day meal containing lizard droppings.
Lizard was in the mid day meal plate
This is the whole case of Middle School Madattapur village (Navagachia block). Shivani Kumari, a Class 6 student, told that the mid-day meal was given to the students on Thursday. During this, Ayush (student) had mid-day meal along with a lizard in his plate. On seeing the lizard, Ayush screamed, on his shout, the other students there also left the food and got up after seeing the lizard. On the other hand, when teacher Chittaranjan came to know about the matter, he reached out to the children.
200 children fell ill at once
The children told the teacher that there was a lizard in the food, on which they saw the plate and said that it is brinjal, not a lizard. He removed the lizard from the plate and said eat the food or else go home. Even after this, the children did not eat, then they were beaten and forced to eat. After which all the children started feeling nauseated and their health started deteriorating. Seeing the children vomiting, the school staff hurriedly threw away all the food. Instead of taking the children to the hospital, the school management got involved in hiding its shortcomings. When the relatives came to know about the matter, they reached the school and got all the children admitted to Navagachia Sub-Divisional Hospital for treatment.
